1. Information stored on your device
Override stores selected cars, purchases, coins, XP, achievements, race results, lap records, championships, ghost replays, settings, key and controller bindings, and a local record of privacy-policy acceptance. This information is saved in the Godot user-data folder, typically %APPDATA%/Godot/app_userdata/Override/ on Windows.
2. Accounts, analytics and advertising
The current standalone Windows game does not require an Override account. We have not integrated an advertising SDK, an in-game analytics SDK, or a PreBytes server for collecting gameplay information in this build. The local data includes game progress and preferences rather than contact details entered in-game.
3. Steam features
The source project contains optional Steam achievements and Steam Cloud functionality. These features are not active in the present standalone build because Steam App ID is configured as 0. If a future Steam release enables them, Steam may process Steam account identifiers, achievements, statistics, game progress and saved ghost files to provide those services. The Steam Privacy Policy will also apply. The game excludes device-specific settings from Steam Cloud.
4. PreBytes website and distribution
Visiting this website or downloading a game may cause hosting companies, browsers and distribution platforms to process technical data, such as IP addresses and access logs. These services have their own privacy practices and are separate from the game’s local save system. If you voluntarily contact PreBytes, your contact details and message are used to respond to your inquiry.
5. Sharing and retention
The current standalone game does not sell player data and does not transmit local save files to a PreBytes gameplay server. Local saves remain until deleted, overwritten or removed with your device data. If Steam Cloud is activated in a future version, copies may remain with Steam until managed or deleted under Steam's controls.
6. Player choices
You may stop playing or uninstall the game. To delete local progress and settings, remove the saved files from Override's Godot user-data directory. Doing so may permanently erase progress. Steam Cloud copies, if later enabled, must also be managed through Steam. You can reopen this policy through the game's main menu.
7. Children and policy updates
Override is a general-audience arcade driving game; it does not ask children for personal information. If features or information-handling practices change, we will update this page and its effective date and may request renewed acknowledgment where appropriate.
8. Contact us
Questions or privacy requests can be sent to prebytes@aions.click or through the PreBytes contact page. This notice reflects the present standalone implementation and separately identifies possible future Steam features.
